School-Based Food Pantry

We are establishing a school-based food pantry at Paul Laurence Dunbar Elementary School. We want those who have fallen on hard times to have access to enough food to sustain them as we work with them through other programs to get back on their feet. Presently, we are working with Caring Touch Ministries to provide food during school breaks when children do not have access to free and reduced lunch programs offered at the school. However, we are expanding our program with hopes of offering food weekly to families in need.
